Trading in meat

Question

Is this trade permissible according to the Shari‘a: to slaughter one or two, or five or ten, cows every day and sell the meat? There is much profit in it.

Answer

It is permissible, [ar]لِأَنَّهُ مُتَوَارَثٌ مِنْ خَيْرِ الْقُرُونِ شَرْعًا وَعُرْفًا مِنْ غَيْرِ نَكِيرٍ[/ar] “because it has been inherited from the best generations, both in the Shari‘a and in custom, without any objection.”
