Is the Disobedient Punished from the Barzakh or on the Day of Judgement?

Question

If a believer abandons the obligatory and necessary duties (fara’id and wajibat) or does not perform them properly, will such a believer, after his passing, be punished in the world of barzakh or on the Day of Judgement after the reckoning?

Answer

The sequence of punishment begins right from the barzakh; it takes place after the reckoning as well. O Allah, protect us from it! (اللهم احفظنا منه)
