Attributing a Falsehood to Hazrat Piran-e Pir
Question
A respected Barelvi religious scholar related that the family of an old woman had drowned in the river; Piran-e Pir (‘guide of guides’, an epithet of Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani) made du‘a, they all came back to life, and the boat came safe and sound to the shore. Is this incident correct or not?
Answer
This incident is fabricated and utterly false and wrong; and to fasten a false slander upon so great an elder is a very great wretchedness. May Allah the Pure grant guidance.
