The Effect of a Saintly Man’s Blowing

Question

Here there is a village named Thiralo; a person here named Belam Babu was granted some Qur’anic verses by a certain perfected saintly man. On being asked, he says that these are verses from the seventh juz’ of the Holy Qur’an; having recited them, he blows into the air, and the effect of that blowing reaches — up to a distance of one mile — the water-filled vessels that people hold in their hands.

Answer

The effect of the Qur’anic verses and the Beautiful Names of Allah is certainly true. Sometimes, because of the tongue of the reciter, their effect does not become manifest; and sometimes the effect becomes manifest even through the recitation of a person who outwardly does not appear to be a saintly man.
