The Splitting of the Chest and the Mi‘raj

Question

What is the ruling concerning a person who calls the splitting of the chest (shaqq al-sadr) of the noble Prophet ﷺ false, and regards the bodily Mi‘raj (ascension) of the Prophet ﷺ as a dream and fancy?

The splitting of the chest of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is established by sound narrations. In the tafsir “Fath al-‘Aziz”, in the commentary on Surah Alam Nashrah, vol. 2, p. 275, it is stated that the splitting of the chest took place four times; the sound narrations of Ibn Hibban, al-Hakim, Abu Nu‘aym, Ibn ‘Asakir, ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmad and others are presented there as…
