Hazrat ‘Isa ﵇ Will Come as an Ummati of the Prophet ﷺ

Question

I happened to listen to the speeches of senior scholars at the gatherings of the Tablighi Jama‘at. Speaking of the excellence of the Umma of Muhammad ﷺ, they related that some of the earlier prophets had wished to be included in the Umma of Muhammad ﷺ; and so, at the end of time, Hazrat ‘Isa ﵇ will come as an ummati (a member of the Umma) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Hazrat Shaykh al-Hadith Mawlana Muhammad Zakariyya ﵋, too, in his work “Darhi ka Wujub” (“The Obligation of the Beard”), p. 29 (printed 1396 AH)

Answer

Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, raised Hazrat ‘Isa ﵇ alive to heaven in order to save him from the evil design of the Jews. Then, centuries later, Hazrat the Master of the Prophets, Muhammad ﷺ, came into the world and presented his call to the people — while Hazrat ‘Isa ﵇ was not present here but was in heaven; so did the Prophet ﷺ come for the guidance of Hazrat ‘Isa ﵇?
