The Shirk-Laden Verses of “Diwan-e Watan” (“The Collected Poems of Watan”)

Question

What is the ruling concerning the following verses? [ar]کسی کو گر رب کی طلب ہے ٭ وہ دیکھے آپ میں مرأتِ رب ہے[/ar] “If anyone seeks the Lord, ٭ let him look within himself: [there] is the mirror of the Lord.” [ar]کریں گر ذکر شغل اور فکر ٭ تو کیا خدا کو دیکھنے کا اور ڈھب ہے[/ar] “If one performs dhikr, spiritual exercises and reflection — ٭ is there then any other way of seeing God?

Answer

Some of these verses contain themes of shirk; saying, reciting or listening to them is not permissible, and holding them as a belief is shirk. May Allah protect us from it (أعاذنا الله منه).
