Seeking Healing from a Tree
Question
Here, in a village of Jansath sub-district, [district] Muzaffarnagar, for the last fifteen or twenty days people of almost every kind — Muslim and non-Muslim, men, women, young and old — have been coming to sit under an acacia tree for their needs, such as the cure of illnesses and the like. All day long there is a crowd under that tree; people come in great numbers from far away.
Answer
It may be that there is some jinnic or satanic influence there by which people are affected, and that these effects — the fist opening of itself and healing from illness being obtained — are produced with the aim of corrupting people’s beliefs.
