The Beliefs of “Chan Basaveshwar” and Siddiq Deendar

Question

(1) In South India there is a community whom people commonly call “Chan Basaveshwar”. Are these people outside the fold of Islam? Are their beliefs contrary to the Ahl al-Sunna wa al-Jama‘a? (2) Who was Siddiq Deendar? Did he too claim to be a prophet? (3) Are the beliefs of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani and Siddiq Deendar the same, or is there some difference? (4) If there are recorded sayings of Siddiq Deendar or any book of his, please write.

Answer

(1) I am not at all acquainted with “Chan Basaveshwar” and their beliefs. (2) I do not know Siddiq Deendar, nor do I have any knowledge of his beliefs. (3) I have seen the books of Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, but I have not seen any book of Siddiq Deendar. (4)
