Healing Through Earth from a Grave

Question

Once, in a certain village, fever with chills became very widespread, and whoever took earth from a grave and tied it on [his body] would find relief. People carried the earth away in such quantity that however much earth one put on the grave, it would run out; I had put earth on it many times.

Answer

The true Giver of healing is Allah the Exalted — whether it comes through the medicine of some physician or doctor, or through the amulet and blowing of some practitioner of incantations, or through the karama of some pious man (earth from a grave and the like), or without any apparent cause at all.
