الْحَلَالُ بَيِّنٌ وَالْحَرَامُ بَيِّنٌ، وَبَيْنَهُمَا مُشَبَّهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنِ اتَّقَى الْمُشَبَّهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ وَعِرْضِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

Inulin, oligofructose, oligosaccharides (FOS, GOS, IMO) — is it halal?

Description

Inulin and oligofructose are extracted with hot water from chicory root, Jerusalem artichoke, agave; FOS is made from sucrose with fungal enzymes (incl. GM), IMO and resistant dextrin from starch, XOS from corncobs. GOS is made from sweet cheese-whey lactose with microbial enzymes; the whey coagulant is not named. HMOs (2'-FL, LNnT) — by GM-bacteria fermentation or synthesis.
