Issuing a false certificate of employment at an institution

Question

At the institution where I work, some people come and say: “Put us on the staff of your institution as a teacher (master) and write us a certifying document, so that we can sit the examination privately.” Yet such a document would be completely false, and lying is haram. So what is the ruling for me?

Answer

Calling someone who is not employed at your institution an employee and giving him a certificate is a lie and a deception; it is not permitted by the Shariʿa.
