The way to serve the religion

Question

Hazrat Wala, the Sunna greeting of salam! Please send me a letter of permission from the Dar al-ʿUlum so that I may serve the religion here. And write which tasks are entrusted to a servant of the religion, so that I may teach people the religion.

Answer

At the Dar al-ʿUlum Deoband, the Noble Qur’an, hadith, tafsir, fiqh, usul, kalam and ifta’ are taught in a regular, systematic way, which takes several years. Quarterly, half-yearly and annual examinations are held. Only then is a certificate (sanad) granted, and each person, by the enabling grace (tawfiq)
