A Salary from the Madrasa for Tabligh
Question
May a person who does the work of tabligh take salary money from a madrasa? For example, Zayd has decided: “If I get two to four days off from the work of tabligh, I will teach; otherwise not.”
Answer
The madrasa authorities employ staff for teaching, and they may also employ staff for tabligh. But if the agreement was made for teaching, the teacher is bound to observe it. It is not permissible for him to decide that if he gets an opportunity of four or six days he will teach, and otherwise he will do tabligh. This will harm the teaching.
