The Society’s Money for the Teacher’s Salary

Question

Here a society, Islah al-Muslimin, has been established whose aim is to promote the elementary religious school. Some money of the society has accumulated. May this sum be given towards the salary of the elementary religious school’s teacher or not?

Answer

Since promoting the elementary religious school is also among the aims of the society Islah al-Muslimin, it is valid according to the Shari‘a to give its money towards the salary of the school’s teacher.
