Registering Land Endowed for an Eidgah in the Name of a Mosque
Question
There was a field from olden times that had been going under the name of the Eidgah (the ground for the Eid prayer), but some people, after consulting among themselves, had it written in the name of the Jamiʿ Masjid (congregational mosque) and had it entered in the name of the Jamiʿ Masjid through the village land-records clerk; and the other mosque has no income. They began to spend the income of this field, and to this day these people have not consulted the villagers at all.
Answer
It appears from the question that this field is a waqf for the Eidgah. If this is correct, its income should not be spent on any mosque; rather, it should be spent on the Eidgah, and effort should be made to have the papers corrected through the land-records clerk.
