The Difference Between an Eidgah and a Mosque

Question

Is the ruling on a mosque and an Eidgah (the ground for the Eid prayer) the same, or is it different?

Answer

With respect to the validity of following the imam (iqtida’), the ruling on both is the same (thus in “al-Durr al-Mukhtar”, vol. 1, p. 269).
