Going to the Mosque Wearing a Hat

Question

If I come to the mosque to perform prayer wearing a hat, is that correct or not?

Answer

The mosque is the court of the Lord, and prayer is worship. For worship one should present oneself at the court in such clothing as is pleasing to the Lord Most High, and that is clothing in accordance with the sunna, that is, the clothing of Allah’s beloved, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the clothing of his followers.
