Picking the Flowers of a Mosque

Question

If a tree with fragrant flowers is planted in a mosque, is it permissible or not to pick its flowers?

Answer

If the flowering tree has been planted in the mosque so that the worshippers may derive comfort from it, then its flowers should not be picked and taken outside; let them remain there.
