Preaching in the Mosque from a Chair Set Out
Question
Inside the mosque there is a minbar, and it is fixed in place and cannot be taken out. In that situation, if someone who gives religious admonition and counsel sets out a chair or a wicker stool on the veranda of the mosque, or on the floor where there is no minbar, and sits on it to deliver admonition and counsel to the people, what is the ruling?
Answer
If there is no minbar, it is permissible to set out a chair or a stool and to sit on it while preaching and delivering a talk.
