Political and Economic Talk in the Mosque

Question

Apart from religious talk, may social, political and economic matters be discussed in the mosque or not?

Answer

The mosque is the house of Allah, which is for His worship. Sitting in it for worldly talk is contrary to its etiquette and reverence; by this, good deeds are destroyed just as fire burns wood.
