Building One’s Own Structure Adjoining a Mosque
Question
In front of the mosque (on the western side), or at its side in some direction, there adjoins the mosque the land of a certain person, and this person is having a building constructed on this land of his which starts right from the mosque building (that is, from its wall). Although that land is his property, by government law he should construct the building leaving at least three feet of space, but that person does not agree to this.
Answer
Leaving space for the water from the mosque roof to fall is a right of the mosque; therefore, for the protection of the mosque as well, it is necessary to stop him.
