Donating a Handful of Rice Daily for the Mosque
Question
For donations to the mosque, a vessel has been placed in the houses of the neighbourhood so that a handful of rice is put into it every day. In a month about 56 handfuls of rice come from each house; it is sold, and the work of the mosque runs well by this. People here are not accustomed to donating to the mosque, and the situation is the same in other mosques too. Is this method correct or not?
Answer
If those people give this donation willingly, then it is correct to run the work of the mosque with it. This method is very good; may Allah bless it.
