Renting Out Mosque Shops for an Interest-Based Business
Question
The mosque owns a house which a certain man wants to rent. The rent would be reasonable, but his business consists purely of dealing in interest. May the house be rented out to him or not?
Answer
If that man takes it stating explicitly that it is for an interest-based business, then the mosque’s house should not be rented out to him.
