Selling the Oil and Other Items of a Mosque
Question
Muslims bring oil to the mosque for lighting the lamps, as well as hand fans, brooms, mats, earthen pitchers, ablution jugs and the like. When there is need, may the mutawalli (trustee) sell these items and spend the proceeds on other expenditures of the same mosque or not?

If those who give these things to the mosque have given permission for this, it is permissible.
