The Ruling on a Mihrab in the Rear Wall and in a Middle Wall

Question

Does the ruling concerning the mihrab — the dislikedness (karaha) of the imam standing apart by himself — apply only to the wall at the rear of the mosque, or also to a middle wall?

Answer

Standing in the opening of a middle wall is just the same as standing in the mihrab of the rear wall.
