Using a mosque’s item for the madrasa and a madrasa’s item for the mosque
Question
Some item has been bought for the mosque or the madrasa, and it is used in them. May the imam, the muezzin and the madrasa children use it in the madrasa outside the times of prayer or not? For example, the doormat of the mosque or the madrasa, and the like?
Answer
An item bought with the madrasa’s money should be used only for the madrasa’s needs. Yes, if the purpose for which such an item was bought has now ceased — for example, the madrasa no longer needs it, while the mosque or the imam needs it — then they should buy it from the madrasa and use it.
