Using the foundation of a deserted mosque
Question
In a forest, for hundreds of years, the solid (masonry) foundations of some buildings have been seen; one foundation among them appears to be that of a mosque. If its foundation is now dug out and used in a mosque, is that permissible or not?
Answer
If its having been a mosque is evident, or it is proven by documents and the like, then using its foundation in a mosque is correct, and the place itself should be protected by means of an enclosure.
