Building another mosque with the bricks of an old mosque threatened with collapse and being washed away
Question
In our village there is a mosque which has begun to fall into ruin because of rising water, and there is fear that if this state continues for a few days, the bricks and so on will all be washed away by the water. So if the bricks are taken from there and a mosque is built in another place, is that permissible or not?
Answer
If the mosque is collapsing and the water is taking over there, and there is a strong fear that the mosque’s bricks and so on will be lost, then take the bricks and so on from there and build a mosque in another place.
