Making use of the milk of a sacrificial animal
Question
Question: If an animal was bought for the sacrifice and there is milk in its udder, what is the Shar‘i ruling on milking it and putting it to one’s own use?
Answer
It is makruh, because if the time of the sacrifice is still some way off, the milk is to be milked and given in sadaqa (“Shami”, vol. 5, p. 209).
