Selling sacrificial meat
Question
Question: May the one who offers a sacrifice sell the meat of his sacrifice or not? And if he did not offer a sacrifice himself, but the meat came to him from others, what is the ruling then?
Answer
Selling the meat of one’s own sacrifice is makruh; if he has sold it, it is wajib to give the price in sadaqa. Meat of a sacrifice that someone else has given may not be sold; it is not valid.
