Giving the meat of a sacrifice and of an aqiqa to a non-Muslim

Question: May the meat of the sacrifice and of the aqiqa be given to non-Muslims or not?

Answer

The meat of a sacrifice whose meat it is wajib to give in sadaqa, such as one offered under a vow (nadhr), should not be given to a non-Muslim; while the meat of an ordinary sacrifice, like the meat of an aqiqa, may rightly be given even to a non-Muslim who is not a harbi (one at war with the Muslims).
