A seventh share for the Prophet ﷺ in the sacrifice of one cow

Question

Question: If someone sacrifices a cow on behalf of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and includes the names of six more people in that same cow, will this not be some disrespect to the exalted dignity of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?

Answer

This too is correct. There is no disrespect in it; rather, it is hoped that through the blessing (baraka) of the Prophet ﷺ the sacrifice of all will be accepted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered a sacrifice on behalf of the whole Umma.
