Performing a sacrifice on behalf of a deceased person
Question
Question: Is it correct if a living person does not take his own share but takes one on behalf of a deceased person, or is it correct only when he takes his own share and also one on behalf of the deceased?
Answer
If the living person owns the nisab, then it is wajib for him to take his own share; if he does not take it he will be sinful, and then it will be wajib to give its value as sadaqa.
