A sacrifice bought with the wages of a worker at a factory making brushes from pig bristles

Question

Question: A man has a son who works in a factory where brushes are made from pig bristles; he knows that these are pig bristles, and he himself makes brushes from them. Then he sent money home so that a share in a sacrifice would be taken with this money. In the animal into which this money is put there are six other partners in the sacrifice, and they do not know what kind of earnings this person has. The one who bought the animal mixed this money with other money. In this case, was this person’s sacrifice valid?

Answer

All the parts of the pig are najis al-‘ayn (impure in their very essence), and selling them is not permissible. However, because a share in the sacrificial animal was taken with the money earned from employment at the factory and sent by post, his sacrifice did not become impermissible, nor did the sacrifice of the other partners become impermissible.
