Going out during ‘idda to cast a vote
Question
Question: A death has occurred among us, as a result of which a woman has been widowed. At present the community council election is being held here, and the widow’s ‘idda is not yet over; the polling station is at the edge of the village. May this widow go to that place to cast her vote or not?
Answer
Voting in an election is not such a necessity on account of which a woman would be permitted to go out during her ‘idda.
