Tayammum Due to Shortness of Time

Question

I have a small room, and I am the mother of a small child. At night I have intercourse with my husband, and in the morning before Fajr I do not get the opportunity to bathe. May I wash [the places] on my body where the najasa got, perform tayammum and offer the Fajr prayer?

Answer

As long as there is no excuse recognised by the Shari‘a, tayammum is not sufficient. Waking up late and the time becoming short are not an excuse; therefore tayammum is not permitted.
