Tayammum Due to Shortness of Time

Question

(1) Zayd is healthy, but time is short: after ghusl no time remains for the prayer. In such a situation may he perform tayammum and pray, or not? (2) Is it necessary, as a precaution, to repeat after ghusl the prayer that was performed with tayammum because of the shortness of time, or not?

Answer

(1) It is not permissible to perform tayammum in place of ghusl because of the shortness of time. (2) That prayer was not valid; repeating it is fard.
