Performing ghusl wearing a waist-cloth is more cautious
Question
Nowadays, when bathing rooms usually have arrangements for privacy, is it preferable to perform ghusl wearing a waist-cloth or having taken it off? And what is the ruling on performing ghusl naked in a bathing room that has no roof?
Answer
Whether the bathing room has a roof or not, when no person’s gaze reaches inside, it is permissible to perform ghusl there without a waist-cloth as well; this is established from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Performing ghusl wearing a waist-cloth is more cautious.
