Slaughter of one animal by two people

Question

Can two people slaughter one animal? That is, one person slaughters halfway and leaves off, and the other person slaughters the rest. Is this case permissible according to the Shari‘a?

Answer

If two people slaughter an animal together, or one slaughters part of it and then the other slaughters the remaining part, and both have said “bismillah”, the slaughter is valid.
