The mu'takif going out for a sunna ghusl or a ghusl for cooling

Question

Is the mu'takif (the one in i'tikaf) permitted to leave the mosque for a sunna ghusl or a ghusl for cooling (tabrid), or not? Kindly write with references to the books.

Answer

This specific ruling (juz'iyya) has not been found explicitly. In Ash'at al-Lam'at, going out for ghusl is cited without qualification from Awrad-i Ihsani (“Ihsan’s Litanies”), whether the ghusl be wajib or sunna; but Awrad-i Ihsani is in itself a collection of fabricated (mawdu') reports.
