Kissing the Face While in I'tikaf

Question

A mu'takif, merely to comfort his wife, kissed her on the cheek without desire. Does a kiss as such invalidate i'tikaf or not?

Answer

Doing so is not proper; however, neither the i'tikaf nor the fast was invalidated by it, and a make-up (qada) is not wajib either.
