The Mu'takif's Suhur, Iftar and Istinja at His Own House

Question

The mu'takif's house is a few steps from the mosque. May the mu'takif take suhur and iftar, perform minor and major istinja (cleansing after urinating and defecating), ghusl and the like at home?

Answer

Minor and major istinja will in any case be outside the mosque, and he will also perform the ghusl of janaba outside. Suhur and iftar are permitted in the mosque; he should not go out for them. If there is no one to bring it, he may go to the house and bring it. For istinja, if he is accustomed only to his own house, he may go there.
