A second supplication after the Jumu‘a prayer

Question

What is [the ruling on] making a second supplication after the Jumu‘a prayer has been performed in congregation?

Answer

After Jumu‘a, each person should pray the sunnas and, having finished his own prayer, make supplication — this is better and mustahabb. But, after finishing the sunnas, to wait for everyone and then for the imam and the muqtadis to make supplication together again — as has become the distinguishing mark (shi‘ar)
