Congregational Supplication After the Sunna Prayers
Question
After the rawatib (regular sunna prayers) or the sunnas belonging to the particular prayer, is it necessary for the imam to recite a congregational supplication and have the muqtadis (followers) say “amin”? Or may the muqtadi, after the sunna, recite a supplication individually and leave?
Answer
Likewise, making a regular arrangement of congregational supplication after the sunnas is not established from the noble Prophet ﷺ or the noble Companions ﵃; rather, they would usually go each to his own house and perform the sunnas there, and it seldom came to that in the mosque.
