Forgot the Qunut Supplication and Went into Ruku'

Question

In ruku' [the worshipper] remembered that he had not recited the qunut supplication. What should be done now?

Answer

If the qunut supplication was not recited and he remembered this only after reaching ruku', then there is now no need for him to recite the qunut supplication either by standing up or in ruku'; rather, he should complete the prayer and perform sajda al-sahw (Tahtawi, p. 250).
