Saying the tasmi‘ when rising from sajda al-sahw
Question
If the imam, when rising from sajda al-sahw, rose saying “sami‘a Allahu li-man hamidah” (سمع الله لمن حمده) instead of “Allahu akbar” (الله أكبر), is sajda al-sahw needed, and is the prayer valid or not?
Answer
If, when rising from sajda al-sahw, [a person] forgetfully said “sami‘a Allahu li-man hamidah” instead of “Allahu akbar”, sajda al-sahw is still not necessary (lazim); the prayer is valid.
