The Amount of Recitation in Tarawih

Question

With how much left out is the prayer [still] valid? How is this to be made good? And if on the next day it becomes known that two rak‘as of tarawih yesterday had become fasid (invalid), how are they to be made good?

Answer

The wajib recitation after Surat al-Fatiha is the amount of three short [verses] or one long verse; with less recitation than that the wajib is not fulfilled. And if some of the recitation is left out from the middle and the meaning is not distorted by it, the prayer does not become fasid.
