Reciting Surat al-Ikhlas Three Times in Tarawih

Question

Some scholars say that reciting “قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ” three times in connection with tarawih is mustahabb, while others say that it is not better but rather makruh.

Answer

Some jurists have written that reciting it three times is mustahabb; therefore, if this is done occasionally, there is no harm in it. But it should not be made a fixed obligation (iltizam), and where it has become a fixed practice, it should be broken.
