When does praying ishraq earn the reward of hajj and umra?
Question
At the least, how long after sunrise does the time of the ishraq prayer begin? Also, it is stated in the noble hadith that whoever remains sitting in the same place after the fajr prayer and prays ishraq after sunrise receives the reward of one hajj and umra. So will the one who does not sit, but keeps reciting his wird while walking about, or goes off for a stroll and recreation and then comes back and prays ishraq, also receive the reward according to the hadith?
Answer
Praying ishraq after having walked about after fajr and kept up remembrance (dhikr) also brings much reward; but the merit that belongs to praying ishraq after praying in congregation, sitting in the same place in the same posture, remaining occupied with dhikr, and praying ishraq once the sun has risen somewhat — that will be attained [only] with its own conditions.
